The Proposal
At first it had seemed like any other day. We went to church and then out to lunch at Cypress Inn, a local restaurant which is located on the Black Warrior River in Tuscaloosa. While waiting for a table Chris asked if I would like to walk out on the pier, which overlooked the water, because he needed to talk to me. Given that this was just our typical Sunday routine, I must say I was a little anxious as to what he needed to talk to me about. As he began to talk about how much our past few months together had meant to him and how I was an answer to his prayers, my anxiety quickly turned to excitement as he began to drop to one knee and asked if I would spend the rest of my life with him. To make it even more special he mimicked our favorite reality show, "The Bachelor" when he presented me with a long stemmed red rose in which he asked if I would accept.
