The Proposal: Traci and Jason first met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend. Although Jason had feelings early on, it took Traci longer, until prayer and Godly counsel helped her realize that Jason was meant to be her husband. When Jason proposed, it came in the form of a story. As he stood, surrounded by lit candles and flowers, Jason read to Traci from the book he had written about a boy who had once liked to chase butterflies, but as a man, instead saw a princess and wanted to chase again. The man came to a castle, where he was required to slay a dragon in order to find the princess and rescue her. The dragon was Traci’s fear. And in the end, the hero did slay that dragon. When Jason popped the question, Traci’s answer was, “Yes.”
